Wow. This store is a life saver, in all the sense of the word. The food selection is not huge and I think it's great. Sometimes, the supermarket can be an overwhelming place to go for food shopping. Just like it's other competition, Lidl is great. I love this store for a nice selection of spices, pastas, and snacks. Prices are amazingly cheap. My fellow Yelpers... EBT cards are accepted...now that's an advantage. This location is more spacious than Aldi, down by Central Islip. I know, I'm not the only person, but I shop at both stores! That being said... happy shopping!
I shop here frequently and I don't have any complaints. The cashiers are so nice and efficient, especially considering there are many customers and the general public can be a challenge at best. Doesn't seem to be a visible manager or customer service area so I'm removing a star. When they opened I forgot I had a 10 dollar coupon and there was no way to remedy it once the transaction was over. Otherwise the store is clean and relatively well stocked.
My first time here. I'm loving this store already. The prices here are comparable to Aldi's or it might be even better. So much seafood here oh my word, shrimps, shrimps, and more shrimps. The sections are clearly defined, neat, and very organized. The bakery section is beautiful and there's a variety of different fresh baked products.
I have to say this store is amazing!!! Lidl really outdid themselves here! their bakery items are absolutely delicious and they had focaccia bread for just .79 cents it was so fresh and so gooood! Not a lot of name brands as you would find in a traditional American supermarket but these prices can't be beat!. I've tried loads of lidl branded products and honestly 90% of them taste identical if not better than name brand competitors. They also offer a huge assortment of non food related items like coolers, deck boxes, lawnmowers, tools, clothings, toys, kitchen appliance and much much more! What turns this rating into 5 stars for me is the way lidl gives back to their community. I was outside for their grand opening and they had brought up a guest speaker from a children's foundation here on Long Island and he spoke some amazing words about lidl and how much they have truly given back just to his foundation to provide for less fortunate kids! I've also read about them donating masks during covid, donating thousands of pounds of food across America and the list goes on. So happy we finally have some affordable to shop who also gives back! Job well done Lidl!
